In all, you’re looking at around 100 different types of saltwater aquarium fish. If you want it, we’ve got it. This is not to mention the variety of coral, invertebrates, live rock, and other accessories for a saltwater fishtank.
We take great care of fish at our end and one of our major goals is to hope that your saltwater aquarium fish live a long and healthy life. What makes maintaining a saltwater aquarium difficult is that saltwater aquarium fish respond very differently to the salinity and temperature of the water. So while you might love how a piece of coral looks or the color of an exotic fish, you must find saltwater aquarium fish that are compatible with an existing or future aquarium.
We can help you select the most optimal saltwater aquarium fish for your aquarium, whether it’s an aesthetic concern or a concern about water temperature. It is possible for us to get complaints about the longevity of our fish, only to find that the aquarium hobbyist did not use the correct salinity or temperature. Coral Reef Farm will do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen.
One very important process is called acclimation. This is the process of introducing saltwater aquarium fish or coral to its new environment. At times, aquarium hobbyists are so excited about getting their new fish that they open the bag and place the fish right into the tank. This can be a dangerous shock to most varieties of saltwater aquarium fish. It’s necessary to put the bag in the tank so the water temperate in the bag equalizes with the temperature in the tank. Dimming the lights in the room and in the aquarium itself is also necessary. Acclimation can take as long as two days for the fish to become accustomed to its new environment.
This issue is one area that separates Coral Reef Farm from other fish distributors. We take great care to create a safe and calm environment in our Hollywood, Florida tanks. We also hope to ensure a safe and tranquil environment after we ship saltwater aquarium fish to our customers. |
