Fiji live rock and invertebrate aquariums

Coral Reef Farm prides itself on the variety of supplies we offer for saltwater fish tanks.  We are known for the variety of live rock and invertebrates for fish tanks.  Additionally, our invertebrates and live rock come in pristine condition and can be put in your tank right away.  No additional curing is needed.

Some of the more unique live rock we sell is our Fiji live rocks.  Fiji live rock is a dense, but diverse, live rock formation with some fine algae growth.  When the rock arrives to you, it will already have some algae growth in place, but the fun of live rock is watching the algae grow and spread across the rock.  In Fiji live rock, you’ll find colors of purple, green, orange, with much subtlety.

Fiji live rock is also easy to handle.  It can be easily broken apart for aquascaping, making for a colorful and stable base to your mini-ocean habitat. It also needs minimal water movement—a major concern for beginner hobbyists who might not have the resources to create the water movement of a tide pool.  It is easy to maintain for beginners, yet possesses the beauty prized by more experienced aquarium hobbyists.

Like other types of live rock, Fiji live rock can be used in both reef-only aquariums as well as fish and invertebrate tanks.  In fact, if you have an aquarium with fish, some sort of live rock is recommended.  Live rock is not just ornamental, but can help break down waste products that can build up in a fish-only environment.

Invertebrates like to crawl over, under, and through Fiji live rock as well.  At Coral Reef Farm, you’ll find a selection, of crabs, lobsters, cucumbers, scallops, shrimp, snails, starfish, and tube worms—some of the most varied inverts you’ll find online.  Tube worms are especially unique and we sell them in three varieties: Fancy or Hawaiian Feather Duster, and Red Coco worm.

Tube Worms are good for reef aquariums or invertebrate-only aquariums.  Some like to try their luck by combining invertebrates and fish, but there can be compatibility issues—including water type and water movement.  By and large, people are in two camps: those that have invert tanks and those that have fish tanks.  If you are looking to outfit an invert tank we have a wide selection of inverts as well as live rock for the inverts to call home.
