Corals

Placing corals into a saltwater fish aquarium is really what separates the saltwater aquarium hobby from freshwater fishtanks.  While it is possible to purchase live plant life to add to a freshwater aquarium, this cannot compare to the strange majesty of corals.  At Coral Reef Farm, we pride ourselves on both the variety of corals as well as the health of our corals.

There are a huge number of corals to choose from.  After all, it’s a big ocean and in each coral habitat you’ll find different types of corals within a few meters of each other.  Coral Reef farm has a wide selection of polyps, soft corals, SPS corals, LPS corals, and more live creatures, such as anemones.  We don’t stop with corals and offer such exotic creatures as the long tentacle anemone.

Our corals are handpicked with the utmost care.  Other coral suppliers rip corals from the reef. As coral reefs are dwindling, this is an unethical practice, as it can be damaging to the local ecosystem.  You can be assured that our harvesting of corals is done with the utmost sensitivity and care.  Once the corals are grown in our 4000 square foot facility, each tank is maintained with ultimate precision, ensuring that the corals arrive to your door, as healthy and strong as possible.

In fact, this process is preferable to getting coral straight from the ocean.  Our coral farmers ensure that all the corals are tested and treated for harmful bacteria, such as red bugs, flatworms, and other creatures that can be detrimental to the health and safety of your aquarium.  The corals are placed in tanks and the water is maintained for light, water current, salinity, mineral quantity, and other factors.  By the time the corals make it to your door, they are the healthiest that they can possibly be.  So long as you continue with proper maintenance of your aquarium, the longevity of our corals is ensured.

Coral Reef Farm also has rare forms of coral that you’ll likely not find anywhere else.  This is the case with our soft corals, which look something like flowers blowing in the wind.  These types of corals grow at an elevated rate, also like flowers that go through a blooming process.  As they are more difficult for farmers to cultivate you might not find them from other suppliers.  Coral Reef Farm is proud to offer the full gamut of coral varieties.  It’s our mission to help you make the most exotic saltwater aquarium, with a large number of corals that are a good choice for both beginning and advanced hobbyists.
